Mesothelioma is a disease associated with exposure to asbestos. Mesothelioma is the formation of either benign or malignant tumors along the lining of the lungs, heart or abdomen. In almost every case, this disease is a direct result of the exposure of asbestos and, when malignant, nearly always leads to death.
